| Hope Christian Academy HCA is a ministry of Hope Baptist Church on the south end of Bradford County. We are located about 8 miles east of Starke, FL and 4.5 miles west of Keystone Heights, FL. Early Education We combine A Beka, Links to Literacy, and our own style to create an atmosphere of love, play and learning in our early education division. We welcome visitors to tour our classrooms and meet our teachers. Elementary Education HCA uses the A Beka curriculum in our elementary division to build a solid foundation in reading, writing, and arithmetic. Students begin writing cursive in first grade and are reading by the time they leave our pre-kindergarten classes. We teach every subject every day of the week. All subjects are emphasized at HCA, not just the ones that will be on state tests. Middle and High School Our middle and high school divisions uses A Beka Curriculum in most subjects. We use a variety of math curriculum to ensure our students are ready to take the College Placement Test when available to them. We offer a traditional classroom setting with highly qualified teachers in Bible, math, science, history, language, Spanish, drama, art, HOPE, Praise Band, Yearbook/Newsletter, and more. We also had 100% college acceptance for our 2010, 2011, & 2012 graduates. Dual Enrollment at Santa Fe College After passing the College Placement Test or PERT, our students are eligible to Dual Enroll at Santa Fe college. During the 2011/2012 school year, we had 16 students dual enrolling. |
